Hakata Gion Yamakasa

This festival in Fukuoka boasts a tradition of more than 770 years. At 4:59 a.m. on July 15, they will run at full speed through the streets of Hakata carrying the Kaki-yama on the signal of the big drum

Hakata Dontaku Port Festival

Held every year on May 3 and 4 as a two-day festival for all citizens to participate. The main attraction of the festival is the Dontaku Parade, in which musical bands and cheerleaders parade along Meiji-dori with attractive costumes and dance performances

Hakata Station Area

(a festival for the release of life) is held every year from September 12 to 18 at Hakozaki-gu Shrine, a 3-minute walk from Hakozaki-gu Mae Station on the Fukuoka Municipal Subway Kaizuka Line. The "Hojo-ya" is a Shinto ritual to show respect for all life and to warn against the killing of animals and plants. Hundreds of stalls and worshippers crowd the 1km-long approach to the shrine every day.

Ohori Park Area

It is an oasis in the city where you can enjoy the nature of Fukuoka in each season, where Ohori Park and Maizuru Park are adjacent. You can also enjoy history and art at the Fukuoka Castle Ruins, an important cultural property, and the Fukuoka Art Museum.

Seaside Momochi Area

It is a sea town where the symbols of Fukuoka such as Fukuoka Tower and Fukuoka City Museum gather. You can feel like a resort on the beach that has an urban atmosphere.

Dazaifu Area

In Dazaifu, there are "Dazaifu Tenmangu", which is familiar as the god of the school, and "Kyushu National Museum", which was born as the fourth national museum in Japan. From Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station to Dazaifu, it takes about 35 minutes by Nishitetsu train, so you can enjoy shopping in Tenjin slowly.
